Thank You to All Our Staff and Willing Volunteers Who Have Helped Get the Club Ready for Cricket’s Return!!

Apr 19, 2025

As the 2025 season gets underway, everyone at Firwood Bootle Cricket Club would like to say a massive thank you to the incredible team of staff and volunteers who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare the club for cricket’s return.

From pre-season pitch preparation to painting, cleaning, organising kits, and making sure Wadham Road looks its very best—your time, effort, and dedication have not gone unnoticed. This club wouldn’t be the same without the passion and commitment of our amazing community.

👏 Ground staff who’ve battled the unpredictable early spring weather to get the square and outfield match-ready.
👏 Volunteers who’ve given up their weekends and evenings to spruce up the facilities and clubhouse.
👏 Coaches and junior section organisers already hard at work bringing through the next generation of players.
👏 Committee members and admin staff keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Thanks to your hard work, the club is in fantastic shape, and we’re proud to welcome back players, members, and supporters for what promises to be an exciting season.

Here’s to another great summer of cricket at Wadham Road!
