A number of players and members took on the tough task of walking from Lancashire Cricket Club Old Trafford all the way to our Club Firwood Bootle CC on Saturday 25th March 2023. After completing the mammoth walk the group where met by a number of junior players and parents who all joined the last leg of the walk from Showcase cinema on East Lancs Road to Wadham Road. The entire walk took around 12 hours to complete after 31.7 miles or 51 Km and numerous blisters and exhaustion all met in the bar for some well earned drinks and food.
A special mention of thanks to all who helped make the day a success from the support minibus driver Tim and Austin, to Asda and Gillions for the drinks and food along the way, to Sarah and Mike back at the club for the welcome party not forgetting the number of people who kindly donated to the event helping us reach above and beyond our target of £2000
