ORRELL RED TRIANGLE MAKE US PUT IN A GOOD SHIFT FOR A FOUR WICKET VICTORY

Scott Butterworth and Jhangir Liaqat reduced Orrell Red Triangle to 31 for 4 with two wickets a-piece. Chris Riley joined Sam Heeley in the middle and a very productive fifth wicket liaison yielded 95 runs. Tea was taken when Scott Butterworth trapped the former L.B.W with the Scoreboard on 141 for 8. Scott completed the visitor’s demise quickly after tea helping himself to 5 for 39. Jhangir finished with the equally worthy analysis of 5 for 30.

Orrell Red Triangle put Will Hale and Danny Hart, not a bad effort on the day, back in the pavilion after 23 runs were registered. Sam Kershaw, 34, Vishal Tripathi Danny Davies, finishing unbeaten on 32 at stumps, Jamie Siddall and Neil Williams gradually rebuilt our reply guiding us to 114 for 6.Danny Davies and Scott Butterworth ,in a fine all round performance, completed the task in hand  with 26 deliveries of the game remaining giving us the maximum 25 points.
