JUNIORS UPDATE
Southport & District Junior Cricket League Junior training is going very well and we have an average of 65 children at net practice every Tuesday Our under 9s started last Sunday and played three games at Maghull with some good performances. UNDER 11s have two teams the 2nd team has played twice and were beaten firstly by a strong Southport Trinity side. Their second match was against our own 1st team who had a narrow victory by just 6 runs. UNDER 13s have made a successful start with a home victory against a strong Formby team with Lucas Kennedy scoring a super 50 not out for Formby. We batted first 111-4 off 20 overs, Jaden Rose 29 & Callum Costigan 25. Formby achieved 73-5 at close of innings with young Gabe Smith from u11s having bowled 2-4 off 3 overs . UNDER 15s played at home to Fleetwood Hesketh we batted first 109-1, Nathan Siddall 46 and Charlie Towle 43 not out. Fleetwood Heskeths innings was a disaster, theye were all out for 6, Harry Ehlen with 3-3 off 3 overs, followed by Joe Adderley 2-2 and Hannah Gallimore 2-1 doing the damage.
