Firwood Bootle reached the final of the delayed 2017 Ray Digman Trophy by beating Ormskirk at Wadham Road last Saturday in a bowl-out after the umpires had declared the ground unfit to stage a normal match. Five players from each side were nominated to bowl two deliveries at an unguarded set of stumps and the visitors failed with all of their attempts. Scott Butterworth (once) and Craig Prince (twice) were on target for Bootle to secure a 3-0 victory. The final against Northern will be staged at Wadham Road on Sunday April 29th.
